Michael | Why are you still on the Fence?

A lot of people think just because we are a Body Composition focused training facility, that, ‘that’s all’ we do.

But it’s far from it, sure, our main goal is to foremost get results, it’s what we do day in, day out. But we like to show clients along the way that’s there’s a lot more to it than dropping a few pounds and Mike is the prime example of that. 

I’ll stop typing & let Mike take it from here to show you what I’m talking about;


What Kind of Position were you in before you started?

Before I started with Doc Fitness, I had no energy, no confidence, fed up of how I looked. Conscious of how I looked in clothes which sometimes made me not want to leave the house or go on a night out.

The best word I could use to describe it all would be trapped,

Trapped in this body, these clothes, this house, this life.

What was Holding you back from Joining (if anything)?

Self-confidence was the biggest thing.

Conscious of others looking at “the big lad” making a fool of himself.

I’d been to gyms before and they are all the same, so why would this one be any different?! At least that’s what I kept telling myself.

What made you decide to try Doc Fitness?

In the end, I had to try something, but I knew it had to be different to other gyms that I had gone to before so I did a bit of research.

Something stood out about Doc Fitness, I had been viewing Docs online videos and Vlogs and it just seemed like a place I’d like to try.

What are your Results like to date?

I am now done 3 stone from when I was at my heaviest. I am almost down two sizes in my clothes, depending on the brand.

What 3 Biggest Areas of your Life has this Impacted?

I have much more confidence than what I used to have, which was zero and a big fat one at that!!

I have more energy and sleep better at night. But thanks to Doc Fitness, and one of the big things for me are the goal workshops. I now have more of a drive and aim to achieve things that I may not have before. Such as the weight loss, going for promotion at work, starting an Hons degree. All down to goal setting in Doc Fitness.

What’s your favourite thing about Doc Fitness?

The attitude and egos are left at the door.

Everyone is at their own level and pace.

There is no judgment, just help, never-ending amounts of help and encouragement, from both the coaches and other Doc Fitness members.

I have never experienced that at any other gym before.

Lastly, what would you say to someone who’s sitting on the Fence about Joining?

When I first started, I wasn’t in a good place, either physically or mentally, so I wasn’t sure if I was up to the challenge. I joined and signed up to do a few weeks.

I was sure that it wouldn’t work but it was worth trying and hopefully prove myself wrong. It was the best decision that I had made in a long time. By the end of the few weeks, I had signed up for 6 more months and have not left since. That was two years ago.

Doc Fitness has not only helped me to lose a lot of weight but has also helped me to achieve a few things that I thought I couldn’t due to a lack of confidence. Going for promotion in work, studying for an hons degree, losing 3 stone. I am in a much better place now because of Doc Fitness.

They not only improved my physical health, but also my mental health.

That’s what Doc Fitness can do, so why are you still on the fence?
